Datamax Printer Language Emulations
Datamax printers, are a great range of printers. Easy to use, and configure and all models use the same printer language, Datamax Programming Language or DPL.
However there are a number of software packages available, that have been written to be used only with other printer languages. Until now, if your company purchased that software package,
you would have also had to purchase new printers, using that language.
Due to the advanced design of the Datamax range, most models are capable of emulating 1 or more other printer languages. For total
flexibility, the printer can be configured to automatically swap between the loaded languages, depending on the data type being sent to them.
Available Emulations
Zebra ZPL / ZPL II language is available on:
- M-4208 & M-4306 Mk 1
- M-Class Mk II - All Models with LCD Screens
- I-Class - All Models Except I-4208
- H-Class - All Models
- W-Class - All Models
- A-Class - All Models
BOCA/Practical Automation Ticket Language is available on:
- EX2
- M-Class Mk II - All Models with LCD Screens
- I-Class - I-4212
Intermec IPL language is available on:
- M-Class Mk I- M-4208 & M-4306
- M-Class Mk II - All Models
- I-Class - All Models Except I-4208
- H-Class - All Models
- W-Class - All Models
- A-Class - All Models
Any existing printer, can be upgraded with the above languages, and depending on the project, DataCol can provide emulation firmware for other models not listed above, IF they are capable of running the emulation.
