Wanted - Resellers with Lots of "Get-up & Go"

Have you considered selling Thermal Printers, but you have been concerned by your companies lack of knowledge of the technology, the lack of support and product knowledge of your potential supplier or their lack of stock or spare parts?

We had excellent sales growth of Datamax-O'Neil products in 2010, and we now have supplied a substantial part of the New Zealand D-O market, so we must be doing something right! We have a growing number printer enquiries from around New Zealand, and we need more companies to help answer and support these potential sales, to sell to their own customers and to service Datamax-O'Neil printers supplied by themselves, and other "non-service" resellers.

We are implementing a DCS Reseller Program, designed for the NZ Market, where we will give you full and free training in product sales and service, depending on your requirements. (We feel its a good idea for the salesman to have some idea how the printer works!) You will also have full access to our sales and support documents and technical information. We are looking for:

  • Businesses who are interested in Re-selling Datamax-O'Neil Printers

  • Businesses who are interested in Servicing Datamax-O'Neil Printers

  • Businesses who are interested in both Re-selling & Servicing Datamax-O'Neil Printers

Ideally you should already be supplying IT solutions to businesses, and want to join in the phenomenal growth that we are experiencing. We will give you an exclusive geographical area or market segment so that your investment is protected. To improve the sales & service standards, we have also stopped supplying "casual" re-sellers. Obviously, resellers will also have access to our range printer support hardware, software and scanners.

Your only commitment will be to attend our FREE annual product training sessions, in our Auckland office, at a time that suits your company. Training for new staff will be given when required. Our aim, is to help YOU grow your business with Datamax-O'Neil.

Datamax Stock Levels

Datamax-O'Neil like every other manufacturer who uses electronic components in their products, are suffering component supply delays. To off-set these problems, we have increased our stock levels so that we can supply any normal order, ex-stock. We also have all the less popular options in stock, as well as Print Heads and ALL spare parts for ALL Class models.

NOTE: ALL these items are held in OUR warehouse in East Tamaki, and we have new stock arriving from the USA every 3-4 weeks. So don't accept a 2-3 month lead time for ANY Datamax product.

Oct 2010 - NEW I-4212 Pricing

Datamax-O'Neil have reduced the price of the I-4212 printers to the same as the I-4208. This means that you now get the following for the price of an I-4208:

  • 50% faster processor

  • 50% increase in maximum speed

  • 200% more memory (both Flash & RAM)

  • 100% back-ward compatibility with ALL applications

  • Option to use the new DMXNet II Internal Ethernet card

Firmware Update for I-Class Printers

The latest release of firmware for the I-Class series (and the re-badged Meto Mi4)  series of printers provides additional protection for your printer. Under the new firmware, the printer monitors the use of the motor that feeds the labels, and when it exceeds pre-set limits, to stop the stepper motor overheating, it will introduce a pause between each label.

Should the motor overheat and seize, it will draw excessive current, and in our experience, generally causes an "explosive" failure of the printer power supply. Currently this will cost at least NZ $1,000 + GST to repair. The enhanced firmware should stop this happening.

Once it has been identified that the printer is "high use" then we can carry out a Datamax authorised modification, that will allow the printer to run continuously again, WITH NO RISK.

The majority of METO branded printers in use in New Zealand, were manufactured by Datamax for the METO Group. That Group no longer exists, however DataCol can provide full service and support for their full printer family. We can also upgrade the printer firmware, to the latest Datamax version, so that you can take advantage of the recent features added by Datamax to their printers.
